Test Manager
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Test Manager to join a leading investment bank for a long-term contract. The successful candidate will completely own and drive a firm-wide T+1 testing strategy for a large-scale transformation.
This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing the end-to-end test strategy from the ground up, including governance, reporting, tooling, and execution frameworks across all workstreams. They will lead programme-level testing while coordinating multiple technology and operations teams, with the majority of execution delivered by offshore (India-based) teams.
The role requires hands-on leadership across component, regression, neighbourhood, and industry testing, with ownership of how testing flows from technology teams into operations. The Test Manager will provide granular delivery reporting as well as senior-level programme updates, confidently summarising risks, progress, and outcomes to senior stakeholders. They will act as the central driver for testing across Global Markets, including fixed income flows, legacy system decommissioning, and migration from Medusa to Saturn (settlements). While testers will perform much of the execution, this role remains actively involved in shaping and overseeing the work, ensuring quality, pace, and accountability across a long-term, critical regulatory initiative.
Must-haves
- Extensive experience as a Senior Test Manager within investment banking, specifically Global Markets
- Proven experience owning and delivering large-scale testing programmes in investment banking
- Demonstrated experience designing test strategy end-to-end, not simply executing pre-defined plans
- Strong governance, reporting, and tooling experience, including Jira-based test management and programme reporting
- Ability to operate confidently with senior technology and operations leaders, providing clear, concise updates
- Experience coordinating multi-team, multi-workstream testing across technology and operations
- Deep understanding of manual testing approaches, with awareness of automation
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills; ability to own SLT relationships
- Strong investment banking domain knowledge, particularly fixed income and settlement flows
