Business Development Manager / B2B Events Organisation / £45,000 base, double OTE A fast-growing B2B media and events business is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to join a high-performing commercial team and play a key role in generating new revenue across an international portfolio of conferences, hosted buyer programmes, and integrated marketing campaigns.In this fast-paced role, you’ll focus on winning net-new business across financial services technology markets. You’ll sell creative, multi-touchpoint solutions combining live events, digital campaigns, content, and thought leadership. This opportunity is ideal for a proactive new-business seller with a strong hunter mentality who wants to progress quickly in a high-growth environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of the company’s event portfolio, marketing services, and target markets.
- Proactively generate new business through outbound prospecting, strategic outreach, and pipeline development.
- Sell integrated sponsorship and marketing solutions across multiple events and channels.
- Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers, translating commercial objectives into tailored campaign solutions.
- Work closely with Marketing, Content, and Operations teams to ensure successful campaign delivery and client satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline reporting, and revenue tracking.
- Stay informed on industry trends and advise clients on how to maximise ROI from events and marketing services.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnerships (events, media, SaaS, or technology preferred).
- Proven success in new business generation and exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience selling sponsorships, integrated campaigns, or multi-product solutions.
- Highly proactive, target-driven, and confident with outbound sales (email, LinkedIn, phone).
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Ambitious, self-motivated, and eager to grow within a scaling organisation.
