Position Summary
Our client is a multinational professional services business based in central Manchester looking to hire a Business Intelligence Analyst with a strong focus on financial analytics to support our data-driven transformation. Reporting to the Analytics Manager, you will design and deliver insightful reporting and analysis that supports financial planning, forecasting, and commercial decision-making across the business. This role would be perfect for somebody coming from an ecommerce, banking / finance or fast paced consumer goods background.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports focused on financial performance, revenue forecasting, and profitability tracking.
- Partner with the Finance and Commercial teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support the development of forecasting and budgeting models in collaboration with the Analytics Manager.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across financial reporting.
- Automate recurring financial reports and streamline data workflows.
- Translate financial data into meaningful narratives for stakeholders across all levels of the business.
- Work with Finance leadership to prepare reports and board packs
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, data modelling, and dashboard design.
- Solid understanding of financial metrics, KPIs, and reporting concepts (e.g., revenue, margin, cost analysis, forecasting).
- Experience working with financial and operational datasets from multiple systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Expertise in Excel and SQL
- Python for data analysis is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data in simple, actionable terms.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in professional services or commercial sales environment.
- Knowledge of data governance and best practices in financial reporting.
- Exposure to forecasting models or scenario analysis tools.
