People Technology Lead

People Technology Lead | HR Systems Implementation & Strategy | £50K - £60K | City of London

A progressive professional services firm in London is looking for a People Technology Lead to drive the evolution of their HR systems landscape and shape how technology enables a better employee experience across the business. This is a standout opportunity for an HRIS specialist who thrives on implementation, optimisation, and strategic influence. You'll be joining a forward-thinking People function that genuinely values analytics, automation, and intelligent system design. Working in close partnership with senior stakeholders across HR, IT, and the business, you'll own the systems roadmap, lead platform implementations, and act as the go-to expert on People Technology, data integrity, and compliance. If you're ready to step into a role where your technical expertise directly improves how people work, this could be the move you've been waiting for.

What you'll be doing

As People Technology Lead, you'll take full ownership of the firm's HR systems strategy and delivery, ensuring platforms are fit for purpose, user-friendly, and aligned to business needs. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Delivering end-to-end HRIS and learning management system implementations from vendor selection through to go-live and adoption
  • Building and managing a strategic systems roadmap that prioritises enhancements, integrations, and user experience improvements
  • Serving as the technical authority on People Technology across the organisation, advising senior leaders on capability, risk, and opportunity
  • Overseeing vendor performance and managing relationships to ensure platforms are optimised and service standards are maintained
  • Leading data governance frameworks and ensuring full GDPR compliance across all people data and systems
  • Collaborating with analytics and reporting teams to configure systems that unlock insight and support decision-making
  • Designing and delivering change management plans, user training, and communication strategies to drive successful technology adoption

What we're looking for

You'll be someone who combines deep technical knowledge with the influencing skills and commercial awareness to operate at a senior level within a People function. Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Demonstrable experience managing complex HR system implementations, ideally including full-cycle HRIS or LMS projects
  • A strong grasp of system architecture, API integrations, data flows, and configuration best practice
  • Proven ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, translating system capabilities into business value
  • Experience leading change programmes and embedding new technology in live, busy environments
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities without compromising quality or accuracy
  • A people-first mindset and a genuine curiosity about how technology can improve the working day

Experience working in a London-based professional services environment would be beneficial but is not a requirement.

What's on offer

You'll benefit from a comprehensive package that reflects the firm's commitment to flexibility and development, including hybrid working arrangements, ongoing professional development opportunities, and a collaborative, inclusive culture where your expertise will be valued and your voice heard. This is a rare chance to join a People Technology Lead role in London where you'll have genuine autonomy, access to senior decision-makers, and the scope to make a measurable impact on how the business uses technology to support its people. If you're an HR systems professional looking for your next strategic move in the professional services industry, we'd welcome a confidential conversation about how this role could fit your career ambitions.
