Overview

We are partnering with a leading European Investment Bank to hire an AVP-level Angular / Full Stack Developer into their Front Office Equities Technology team.

This role sits directly alongside trading, pricing and risk teams, supporting and enhancing systems that underpin real-time trading, pricing models and risk analytics.

We are specifically looking for mid-senior (AVP-level) engineers – strong hands-on developers who are comfortable operating in a fast-paced front-office environment.

The Role

You will join a high-performing Equities technology team responsible for:

  • Front-office pricing and risk applications
  • Trading tools and electronic trading interfaces
  • Real-time data visualisation and analytics platforms
  • Enhancements to core trading infrastructure

This is a hands-on development role with direct interaction with traders and desk stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance front-end applications using Angular
  • Contribute across the stack (UI + backend services)
  • Build performant, real-time trading and risk dashboards
  • Work closely with trading desks to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Support and improve pricing and risk systems
  • Participate in agile delivery cycles within a front-office technology environment
Required Experience

We are looking for true AVP-level profiles (not graduate/junior):

  • Strong commercial experience in Angular (v10+)
  • Solid full-stack capability (Java, .NET or Python backend preferred)
  • Experience building enterprise-grade web applications
  • Strong understanding of APIs, microservices and distributed systems
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to engage directly with Front Office stakeholders
Highly Desirable
  • Prior experience in Equities, Structured Products or Derivatives
  • Exposure to pricing or risk systems
  • Experience within an Investment Bank or trading environment
  • Understanding of real-time market data systems
Seniority Level
  • AVP (Assistant Vice President)
  • 5+ years’ development experience typically expected
  • Some strong mid-level profiles may also be considered
