AI Deployment Engineer

This role is looking for a talented AI Deployment Engineer who is keen to join a start-up!

The Role

You will be joining a start-up with a mission to deploy cutting-edge AI systems for marketing businesses. This isn't about following playbooks, there are none. You'll be writing them. Every implementation is a first ascent. Every challenge is uncharted. Every solution you create becomes the map for those who follow.

Your role is to learn, implement, and innovate with AI systems; specifically leveraging large language models, API integrations, and custom solutions built in Python. You'll work directly with clients to understand their unique challenges and architect AI solutions that didn't exist yesterday.

The Essential Qualities

• Insatiable hunger to learn - You don't just want to know how things work; you need to. You read documentation for fun. You experiment on weekends. You can't help but dive deeper.
• Self-starter mentality - You don't wait for permission or perfect information. When you see a problem, you solve it. When you don't know something, you figure it out. You own outcomes, not tasks.
• Demonstrable AI experience - You've used GPT, Claude, or other AI systems not just casually, but purposefully. You understand APIs. You've built things. You have examples that prove you can ship.
• Python proficiency - You write clean, functional Python code. You understand data structures, APIs, and how to build integrations that actually work in production.
• Relentless motivation - This work is hard. Clients will have difficult asks. Systems will break in unexpected ways. You'll face problems that Google can't answer. You need to be the kind of person who thrives on this.

Technical Foundation

• You should have hands-on experience with:
• Working with AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar platforms)
• Building Python applications and scripts for real-world use cases
• Understanding prompt engineering and AI system design
• Integrating systems and troubleshooting complex technical issues
• Learning new technologies rapidly and independently

What You'll Actually Do

Every day will be different, but here's what your expedition will look like:

• Design and deploy AI systems for marketing agencies and businesses
• Build custom integrations between AI platforms and existing marketing tools
• Create Python scripts and applications to automate AI-driven workflows
• Experiment with cutting-edge AI models and techniques to solve novel problems
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and architect solutions
• Document your discoveries and create frameworks others can build upon
• Work in our office 3 days per week, collaborating with the founder on breakthrough solutions

The Honest Truth

This role is not for everyone. The problems you'll face don't have solutions on Stack Overflow. The technologies you'll use are evolving weekly. Clients will ask for things that seem impossible, and expect them by next week. You'll work hard. You'll be frustrated. You'll question whether something can be done.
