Blackthorn Implementation Consultant

Job Title: Blackthorn Implementation Consultant

Duration: 6 Weeks

Day Rate: Competitive

Location: Remote (UK)

We are working with a London based University, who is looking to appoint an experienced Blackthorn Implementation Consultant to support the migration from its existing event-booking platform to Blackthorn within Salesforce.

This role will involve hands-on implementation and configuration, rather than development. Blackthorn will be deployed as an off-the-shelf solution, with the successful consultant responsible for configuring the platform, supporting data migration, resolving implementation issues and ensuring the system is fully operational within the 6 weeks.

Working closely with the internal team, you will also provide training, documentation and knowledge transfer to ensure they are confident managing the platform independently following launch.

Responsibilities

  • Support the transition from the existing event-booking platform to Blackthorn Events
  • Configure and build out Blackthorn's standard functionality within Salesforce
  • Set up events, booking journeys, surveys and platform branding
  • Support the migration of existing event and booking data
  • Troubleshoot configuration issues and provide practical implementation solutions
  • Advise stakeholders on Blackthorn best practice and platform capabilities
  • Support system testing, user acceptance testing and launch readiness
  • Deliver training sessions covering both front-end and back-end administration
  • Produce user documentation and screen-recorded training materials
  • Provide hands-on support throughout the six-week implementation programme

Required Experience

  • Demonstrable experience implementing and configuring Blackthorn
  • Strong understanding of Blackthorn administration and back-end functionality
  • Experience working with Blackthorn within a Salesforce environment
  • Previous experience migrating from another event management or booking platform
  • Experience supporting data migration, testing and system go-live activities
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience training and supporting non-technical users
  • Ability to produce clear documentation and video-based user guidance
  • Comfortable working autonomously within a fast-paced implementation project where requirements may evolve

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering a business-critical project, within a prestigious London based University.
