Salary: Circa £40,000
Location: Hybrid (North West) – 4 days on-site, 1 day remote
Full time permanent position
The Role
As the Digital Learning Technologist, you’ll work within a small and intimate team, providing leadership to two members of staff in the creation of digital learning resources, with the main aim of supporting academics and students. You’ll play a key role in the creation of digital learning content using tools to develop and deliver inclusive and accessible learning, which will be pivotal in the success of students and academics alike.
The successful candidate will have a breadth of knowledge of digital learning pedagogies and learning design methodologies, understanding how they can be applied to better optimise learning outcomes and enhance the leaning experience.

With the primary objective of providing them with the academic skills – such as information literacy and digital skills – that they need to progress and develop in their research and studies.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience managing individuals or a small team
- Knowledge of digital learning pedagogies and learning design methodologies
- Knowledge of tools used to develop and deliver online and digital learning (eg Canvas, HTML5, Camtasia)
- Experience working within education
- Deadline-driven and capable of working at a fast pace
Nice to Have
- Created content to support academic skills (including Digital Skills e.g. GenAI)
- Passion for collaboration and cocreation with stakeholders (e.g. across teams, staff and students)
- Keen advocate for personal and staff development
