Business Intelligence Manager | Hybrid | Newport - South Wales
IntaPeople are exclusively seeking a motivated and visionary Business Intelligence Manager to lead one of our client's data strategy, analytics, and reporting functions. This role will be pivotal in transforming data into highly actionable insights, enabling decision-making across the organisation.
As the BI Manager you will play a critical role in shaping their data-driven culture and which focusses cross-functional collaboration within the data team. This is an exciting time to join the senior leadership team as they pursue an ambitious growth strategy into 2026 and beyond.
Essential Skills (at a glance):
- Proven leadership experience in Business Intelligence or Data Management
- Strong knowledge and experience of BI tools such as Power BI and data warehousing concepts
- Expertise in SQL and Data modelling
- Experience in managing cross-functional projects
- Experience leading data focussed teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data
- Understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance requirements that align with the organisation
- Be proactive in researching the newest technologies and practices such as AI and Automation
Holding professional certifications in BI, Data or Analytics would be highly desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology & Tools: Evaluate and implement BI tools, platforms, and emerging technologies to enhance capabilities, including the use of AI
Collaboration with IT and Data Security: Work closely with IT to ensure robust data infrastructure and alignment on data security, privacy, and compliance
Strategic Leadership: Define and deliver the organisation's BI strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Team Management: Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing BI team.
Data Governance: Oversee data quality, integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR).
Analytics & Insight: Lead the design and delivery of dashboards, reports, and predictive models to support operational and strategic decisions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with senior leaders to identify data needs, translate requirements into BI solutions, and drive adoption.
Performance Measurement: Establish KPIs and metrics to track organisational performance and impact.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Encourage a culture of ongoing innovation within the BI function, staying ahead of industry trends and integrating new analytical methodologies or data sources as appropriate.
Change Management: Lead change initiatives related to BI processes and systems, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal disruption across the business.
Training and Data Literacy: Drive initiatives to improve data literacy across the organisation, equipping staff at all levels to interpret and utilise BI outputs effectively
Collaboration with IT and Data Security: Work closely with IT to ensure robust data infrastructure and alignment on data security, privacy, and compliance
Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Where relevant, manage relationships with external vendors or partners providing BI tools, data services, or consultancy, ensuring value for money and alignment with strategic goals.
The team are very established and well embedded with the current BAU projects so ultimately we're looking for a proactive BI Manager to join the organisation to drive their Data forward and allow the business to get the most out of their large data set that they current manage and manipulate.

This role is a hybrid role with a 3-day office requirement for collaboration, workshops and stakeholder meetings per week on-site in Newport (South Wales).
Interviews are to be held in January 2026 onsite in South Wales.
