Senior PHP/NodeJS Developer - Software Development - Watford - Up to £100,000 + Excellent benefits

Overview:

A leading software development firm based in Watford are currently looking for an experienced Senior PHP/Node JS Developer to join their expanding technology function. You will be working in an agile environment and will be a key member of a small technically focused team, with a high level of ownership of your product area.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Understanding and contributing to the strategy for the management of technical debt within the team

• Create effective solutions (inc. software designs) from product requirements.

• Ensuring that the solutions developed and deployed are fit for purpose.
• Developing clean, maintainable features and resolving end-to-end issues with an understanding of different possible approaches
• Conducting and participating in code reviews with an emphasis on both functional and non-functional requirements, considering, performance, resiliency, maintainability and security, to ensure that we build consistently high-quality software for our customers.
• Analysing and defining test approaches and strategies within the team

 

Skills & Experience:

• Commercial use of a modern PHP 8+ with experience in development frameworks such as Laravel / Symfony.
• Ability to build/maintain CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab.
• Strong understanding of clean code and clean architecture.
• Good understanding of relational databases and MySQL and writing efficient database queries.

• Frontend development experience, working with modern JavaScript frameworks - React & React Native (Desirable)
• Experience working in an AWS environment (Desirable)

 

Package:

• £80,000 - £100,000 basic salary
