Overview:
A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced D365 Functional Consultant to support and enhance their Finance Systems landscape. Working closely with both Finance and IT teams, you will play a key role in delivering system improvements, optimising processes, and ensuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is effectively aligned with business and reporting requirements.
This is a hands-on and business-facing role, combining functional system expertise, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration across Finance and Technology.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Act as the key Functional Consultant for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O)
- Work closely with Finance stakeholders to gather, define, and translate business requirements into system solutions
- Configure and enhance D365 F&O to improve finance processes and reporting capabilities
- Support system integrations and data flows between D365 and other finance and operational systems
- Lead testing activities including system testing, regression testing, and UAT
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide ongoing functional support to business users
- Collaborate with IT and external partners on system upgrades, releases, and enhancements
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience in a D365 F&O Functional Consultant or similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (essential)
- Good understanding of finance processes including AP, AR, GL, and reporting
- Experience gathering requirements and delivering functional system solutions
- Strong experience with system configuration, testing, and user support
- Exposure to finance reporting tools such as Power BI
