A leading global financial institution is seeking a Head of Digital Engineering Service Portfolio to drive a high-profile portfolio of Infrastructure and Digital Engineering change across the EMEA region.
Role & Responsibilities:
- You will lead the planning, governance, and delivery of a complex Infrastructure & Digital Engineering project portfolio, covering both IT and non-IT initiatives. With a team of delivery consultants/contractors reporting in, you'll provide strategic direction, maintain portfolio health, and ensure all work aligns to the organisation's multi-year technology plan.
- The portfolio spans approx 55+ active projects across EMEA, an environment that rewards proactive leadership, detail-driven portfolio management, and confident senior stakeholder engagement.
- Own the Infrastructure & Digital Engineering delivery portfolio, ensuring all projects meet quality, budget, timeline and scope requirements.
- Develop and govern the delivery roadmap, critical path, and prioritisation decisions.
- Ensure alignment to the long-term technology business plan and annual planning cycle.
- Ensure all reporting, financials, RAID items, and documentation meet audit-ready standards.
- Chair portfolio committees and prepare concise executive reporting.
- Line manage and develop a delivery team of consultants and contractors.
- Collaborate with technology, operations, risk, procurement and external vendors.
Essential Experience:
- 10+ years delivering complex programmes and portfolios in Financial Services.
- Proven investment budget ownership, cost control, and forecast accuracy.
- Strong portfolio governance, reporting, and risk management skills.
- Expertise in critical path management, resource planning, and annual portfolio planning.
- First-hand experience working across front-to-back banking change.
- Familiarity with SOX, operational risk, regulatory change and PDLC/SDLC.
- Experience running regulatory programmes.
Package:
- £140,000 - £160,000 Basic Salary
- + 20% Bonus + 15% Pension + many more benefits.
- Hybrid Working, 3 days on site in London
