ICT Field Support Engineer | Hertfordshire | Onsite | £40,000

Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused ICT Field Support Engineer to join our client's growing ICT team, providing essential support to over 4,000 users across more than 120 locations nationwide.

This is a highly varied and mobile role, ideal for an experienced IT support professional who enjoys a mix of on-site and remote troubleshooting. You will play a key role in maintaining critical IT services, supporting end users, and ensuring technology environments remain reliable, secure, and efficient.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1st and 2nd line technical support both remotely and on-site.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues across a range of devices.
• Support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
• Configure and maintain network connectivity, VPN access, and wireless services.
• Install, configure, and deploy hardware and software in line with company standards.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requests within Active Directory.
• Assist with device provisioning and deployment using Autopilot and other management tools.
• Maintain accurate IT asset records and support hardware lifecycle management.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a 1st/2nd Line Support, Field Engineer, or IT Support Engineer role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory user administration.
• Knowledge of WAN environments, VPN connectivity, and mobile device support.
• Experience with hardware provisioning and deployment technologies such as Autopilot.
• Comfortable travelling between sites and working independently.
