Senior Product Manager / Product Owner – Data and Technology
Contract: 6 months
Rate: £600-700 PD (Outside IR35)
Location: London / Hybrid x2 days onsite
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager / Product Owner to join a major health data programme. You will define and deliver products that enable secure, trusted and efficient access to health data at scale. You will work closely with stakeholders, users and technical teams to drive product strategy, prioritisation and delivery, ensuring solutions create measurable value and improve user outcomes. This role is ideal for a product professional who enjoys operating in complex environments, managing diverse stakeholder groups and translating policy, governance and operational requirements into successful digital products.
Role & Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Delivery
- Define and communicate product vision, strategy and roadmap aligned to organisational goals and user needs
- Lead product discovery activities to identify opportunities and validate solutions
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities are aligned to business objectives
- Work closely with engineering, architecture, design and delivery teams to define requirements and user stories
- Drive iterative delivery, release planning and continuous product improvement
- Define and track product success metrics and outcomes
Stakeholder & User Engagement
- Gather and translate user feedback, research and operational insights into product decisions
- Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions and stakeholder engagement activities
- Build strong relationships across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups
- Communicate product priorities, progress and recommendations to senior audiences
Governance & Product Leadership
- Ensure governance, privacy, security and compliance requirements are considered throughout product delivery
- Collaborate with policy, legal and information governance teams to support trusted use of health data
- Champion agile delivery, user-centred design and evidence-based decision making
- Influence product direction, priorities and investment decisions across the programme
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Significant experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or Digital Product Lead delivering complex digital/data products
- Proven experience defining product strategy, roadmaps and delivery plans
- Strong experience managing product backlogs, prioritisation and agile delivery
- Experience translating user, business and technical requirements into successful product outcomes
- Experience working closely with engineering, design and data teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience using data, analytics and user research to inform decisions
- Comfortable working in complex environments with evolving priorities
