Senior Project Manager – £450 to £650 – Outside IR 35 - Kent

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a portfolio of high-impact technology and digital projects for a growing organisation in Maidstone, Kent. You will play a pivotal role in driving project delivery, coordinating multiple teams, and ensuring initiatives are delivered efficiently and successfully.

This is an initial 3-month contract with the potential to extend up to 18 months, providing exposure to software implementation, operational optimisation, and digital transformation initiatives.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of technology and digital projects, ensuring milestones, budgets, and objectives are achieved
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, software vendors, and IT stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
  • Drive software and system implementation projects, including testing, user adoption, and go-live
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve blockers, and maintain governance including RAID logs, milestone tracking, and reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Work closely with operational and technical teams to optimise systems and processes using technology
  • Take ownership of ongoing and new digital initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to scope

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience managing complex technology or digital projects, including software implementations or IT-driven operational improvements
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with confidence influencing senior leaders
  • Experience coordinating multiple teams, IT vendors, and software delivery partners
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, digital platforms, cloud-based tools, or enterprise software
  • Desirable experience with COINS ERP / CRM, Weighsoft, or projects within construction/engineering environments
  • Proactive, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to drive stalled or complex digital projects forward
  • PRINCE2, APM PMQ, or equivalent project management qualification is desirable

Package:

  • £400–£600 per day – Outside IR35
  • Initial 3-month contract with potential extension up to 18 months
  • On-site in Maidstone, Kent (4–5 days per week)
