Technical Consultant – £70,000 + £10,000 Bonus – London/Manchester (Hybrid) – Consultancy

Overview

A leading consultancy organisation is seeking an experienced Technical Consultant with strong delivery, infrastructure, and storage expertise. This role sits within a growing technical practice and focuses on designing, implementing, and delivering high‐quality infrastructure and storage solutions for a diverse customer base. The position offers a hybrid working model from either London or Manchester.

Role & Responsibilities

Solution Delivery & Implementation

• Deliver end‐to‐end implementation services across a broad range of storage, compute, and virtualisation technologies.
• Lead on the deployment, configuration, and optimisation of enterprise storage platforms (e.g., Dell EMC, HPE, NetApp).
• Ensure all technical delivery meets agreed quality, scope, and time expectations.

Technical Leadership

• Serve as a senior technical escalation point and subject matter expert across storage, virtualisation, and infrastructure domains.
• Provide best‐practice guidance on standards, solution design, and reference architectures.
• Mentor junior consultants and assist in their technical development.

Design & Documentation

• Produce high‐quality documentation including:
• Low Level Designs (LLDs)
• Statements of Work (SoWs)
• Implementation plans and operational handover documents
• Run design workshops with customers to capture requirements and shape technical outcomes.
• Present solution designs and delivery documentation to customers in a clear and confident manner.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Sales, Project Practice, Delivery Teams, and customers to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide technical input during discovery and scoping phases to support accurate and efficient delivery.

Technical Requirements

• Professional certifications preferred (e.g., Cisco CCDA, MS‐500, MS AI‐102).
• Proven experience in Professional Services or Consultancy delivery roles.
• Strong hands‐on experience with enterprise hardware vendors such as Dell, HPE, NetApp, etc.
• Proficiency with virtualisation and infrastructure platforms such as VMware, VCP, Nutanix, RedHat, etc.
• Eligible for Security Clearance.

• £70,000 Base Salary
