Test Manager - £600 - £650 Per Day – 6 Months – Belfast (Hybrid)
Overview:
A market leading Consultancy organization are searching for an experienced Test Manager to join one of their growing teams in Belfast on a hybrid basis.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Define the phase Test Strategy and Test Plan for systems in scope.
- Shape test environment readiness and lead end-to-end testing delivery, including execution oversight, defects/risks, and quality reporting.
Technical Requirements:
- Define and own the Phase Test Strategy & Plan: scope, test levels (SIT/UAT/E2E), entry/exit criteria, governance, milestones, resourcing, and risk-based approach.
- Feed into and shape the Environment Strategy: specify test environment needs (types, readiness criteria, stability, access, refresh/reset, tooling/monitoring) and coordinate provisioning with platform/infrastructure teams.
- Lead test delivery across systems in scope: oversee scenario/case coverage, execution coordination, evidence management, and traceability from requirements to test outcomes.
- Manage defects, risks, and dependencies: run triage, prioritisation, escalation, and root-cause themes; manage cross-team dependencies (Dev, Data, Infra, Vendors, Business).
- Report quality status and drive readiness decisions: provide clear dashboards and updates on progress, environment health, defect trends, and go/no-go recommendations for milestones/releases.
- Drive continuous improvement and standards: enforce testing controls/templates, optimise ways of working, and promote automation where appropriate (e.g., regression/smoke/data validation).
