We’re working with a highly regarded and growing Managed Service Provider with an excellent reputation for customer service and a genuinely supportive team environment. Due to continued growth, they’re looking for a 1st Line Support Technician to join their busy Service Desk team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has already gained some good IT support experience, who enjoys helping people, wants exposure to a wide range of technologies and is keen to progress towards 2nd Line support and beyond.
You’ll be joining a business that actively invests in training, development and certifications, with senior engineers who are happy to mentor and support your progression.
What you’ll be doing:
- Acting as the first point of contact for clients via phone, email and helpdesk system
- Troubleshooting and resolving 1st line technical issues remotely
- Supporting users with Windows, Microsoft 365, passwords, connectivity and general desktop support issues
- Logging and managing tickets through to resolution in line with SLAs
- Keeping clients updated with clear, friendly communication
- Preparing and configuring laptops, desktops and new user setups
- Escalating more complex issues to 2nd Line engineers whilst continuing to learn from the wider team
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience working within an MSP / IT Support Services environment is ESSENTIAL
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good understanding of Windows desktop environments and Microsoft 365
- Experience working with ticketing/helpdesk systems
- A proactive attitude and genuine desire to learn and progress
- Full UK driving licence preferred
