My client is an award-winning software organisation.  They have an unrivalled reputation, offer a fantastic working environment, look after their staff extremely well and are currently growing so it’s a great time to join them!  

Due to recent growth, they have created a brand-new role for a Product Owner. The Product Owner will play a pivotal role in helping to define the vision, strategy and roadmap of their range of SaaS products. We are looking for a passionate Product Owner with experience within an Agile Scrum SaaS environment.

Product Owner – More Information and Duties:

  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Product Owner will translate business requirements into actionable user stories and product specifications.
  • Being an expert in Agile Scrum Methodologies, the Product Owner will also support the CTO in ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software that meets the needs of users and drives business success.
  • The Product Owner will be passionate about technology and have a desire to stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Collaboration: Working with a range of stakeholders to define the product vision, goals and roadmap. Gathering and analysing a range of sources such as customer feedback, support ticketing trends, market trends and competitive intelligence to inform product decisions.

Backlog Management: Prioritise and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.

Specification Writing and User Stories: Writing excellent specifications complete with clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria.

Agile Scrum Champion: Conduct sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings to drive continuous improvement, championing Agile principles and best practices within the organisation.

Product Ownership: Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries and decisions.

Product Owner – Over to you! Our Ideal Candidate Will Have;

  • 2+ years proven experience as a Product Owner within an Agile Scrum SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering successful software products on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban. Ideally, a passion for Agile Scrum and keen to be a champion within the business.
  • Familiarity with DevOps.
  • The ability to translate technical requirements to non-technical end users.
  • The ability to effectively manage expectations, keeping stakeholders motivated and engaged, both internally and externally.
  • Knowledge / experience of PropTech is a bonus, as is knowledge / experience of accounting practises (end of year closing, nominal ledger maintenance, accounts payable and account receivable, budgeting and forecasting).
