Salary: £60,000 to £70,000

About the Role:

• We are hiring a Cyber Security Lead to take ownership of security delivery across a portfolio of client environments.
• This is a hands on technical leadership role within a fast paced MSP, focused on securing client infrastructure, improving resilience, and leading the implementation of practical security solutions across network, endpoint, and cloud environments.
• You will work closely with both clients and internal engineering teams to strengthen security posture and respond effectively to evolving threats.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Designing and implementing security solutions across client environments
• Leading incident response activities including investigation and remediation
• Conducting vulnerability assessments and driving risk reduction
• Managing and improving endpoint protection and EDR platforms
• Securing Azure and AWS environments through configuration and access control
• Supporting secure network design including VLANs, VPNs, and segmentation
• Implementing and maintaining security monitoring tools
• Advising clients on cyber security best practices
• Supporting Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus delivery
• Applying practical security frameworks including GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST
• Working closely with engineering teams to embed security first practices
• Providing guidance and mentoring to junior engineers

What We Are Looking For:

• Strong experience with firewalls such as Palo Alto or Fortinet
• Hands on knowledge of endpoint security tools such as Microsoft Defender or Sophos
• Experience working with SIEM or security monitoring platforms
• Understanding of secure network architecture including DNS and TCP IP
• Experience securing Azure or AWS environments
• Knowledge of incident response and vulnerability management
• Familiarity with Cyber Essentials or CE Plus
• Experience working in an MSP or multi client environment is highly desirable
• Comfortable working directly with clients
