💻 Senior Software Engineer (Python/Django) – London | Hybrid | Early-Stage Startup

We’re partnered with an early-stage, sustainability-focused tech startup that’s revolutionising how large-scale residential properties manage and optimise their home appliances. Their platform helps property operators save money, improve efficiency, and reduce carbon emissions at scale.

They’re now looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join their growing team. You’ll work directly with the founding group to shape architecture, influence product direction, and build a platform from the ground up.

Tech Stack

• Backend: Python, Django, REST APIs
• Database: PostgreSQL
• Cloud: Heroku, AWS
• Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, HTMX
• Tooling: GitHub Actions, Notion, Slack, Jira (as the team scales)

What They’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years’ experience developing and maintaining web applications
• Strong Python/Django backend skills
• Solid experience with database schema design, optimisation, and performance (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
• Confident working with RESTful APIs and cloud deployment (Heroku/AWS)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within fast-paced, agile teams
• Interest in mentoring junior developers and helping shape an early-stage engineering culture
• Based in London, UK , eligible to work without visa sponsorship

Nice to Have:

• Frontend experience (React, HTMX, Tailwind, or similar)
• Experience integrating analytics or event-tracking tools
• Background in consumer-facing or mobile web products
