FPGA Engineer
We're supporting a global engineering company developing advanced electronic and sensing technologies for complex aerospace and defence programmes. They are looking to recruit an FPGA Engineer to join their Edinburgh-based engineering team, working on high-performance embedded firmware and FPGA solutions for next-generation systems.

This is a varied role that offers exposure to every stage of the FPGA development process, from requirements capture and architecture through to RTL design, verification, hardware integration, and product release. You'll work closely with systems, electronics, and software engineers, helping to develop robust FPGA solutions for technically challenging applications.
The role will involve FPGA design and verification, embedded firmware development, system integration, and supporting design reviews across multiple projects. You'll also have the opportunity to influence firmware architectures while working with the latest FPGA and SoC technologies.
They are looking for an FPGA Engineer with the following background:
Strong FPGA development experience using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog
Experience with Xilinx, Microchip (Microsemi), or Lattice FPGA devices
Knowledge of FPGA verification, timing closure, and embedded systems
Experience working with SoC architectures and hardware integration
Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills
Must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance
