Lead Mechanical Design Engineer
I'm working with an innovative technology company developing ruggedised hardware for demanding real-world environments, and they're looking for a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team.
You'll be responsible for:
Leading mechanical design from concept through to manufacture
Developing robust products for challenging environments
Improving product reliability and environmental performance
Working across materials, thermal management and sealing
Leading prototyping, testing and product validation
Championing DfM and DfA
Providing technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams
We're looking for someone with:
Experience developing complex hardware products in aerospace, defence or similar industries
Strong 3D CAD skills — SolidWorks, Siemens NX or similar
A proven track record taking products from concept through to manufacture
Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
The ability to lead technical projects and work across multidisciplinary teams
