Principal Firmware Engineer

Join a leading space and satellite communications company based in Farnborough on a hybrid working modelThis innovative space technology business is developing advanced satellite communication systems, working on highly complex firmware powering next-generation beamforming and wireless platforms. The team are now looking for a Staff Firmware Engineer to take on a key technical role within the group, acting as a senior figure in low-level development and supporting the growth of the wider team.
You'll work closely with hardware and systems engineers, contributing to low-level firmware, chip bring-up and real-time system development, while mentoring others and helping drive project delivery.
For this Staff Firmware Engineer role, we are looking for someone with:
Strong experience developing low-level firmware in C
Proven background in real-time or embedded systems
Experience working close to hardware, drivers and chip-level software
Ability to mentor engineers and take on technical leadership responsibilities
Experience delivering features and owning workstreams within projects
