Technology Delivery Director

Role Overview

IntelliSense.io has a rare opportunity for a visionary leader to join our team as the Technology Delivery Director. Unlike traditional delivery roles, we aren't looking for a "pure-play" software engineer. We need a leader who began their journey in data science and modeling and has transitioned into delivering high-stakes, data-driven software products.

You will report directly to the CEO and sit on the technology leadership team. Your mission: orchestrate the seamless end-to-end delivery of our scientific AI solutions by managing a multidisciplinary team of data scientists and software engineers. You are someone who views "scale" not as a headcount metric, but as an efficiency challenge solved through the clever integration of human expertise and AI agents.

What you are accountable for

• Data-First Delivery: Ensuring the schedule and quality of technology components in our monthly releases, customer implementations, and live-site maintenance.
• Intelligent Scaling: Building a high-output organisation that prioritises incremental growth through human + AI agent collaboration rather than aggressive headcount expansion.
• Ecosystem Efficiency: Optimising development processes, quality frameworks, and knowledge sharing to ensure our cross-functional teams operate at peak performance.

Who will be your direct reports

You will manage the Technology Team Leads who own the delivery of individual products, projects and support for live customers. These are cross-disciplinary teams of software engineers and data scientists who collaborate with customer-facing domain experts.

What you are responsible for

• Technical Delivery: Execute monthly product and project implementations related to releases with a focus on reliability and meeting North Star Metrics (NSM).
• AI-Enhanced Team Development: Lead the evolution of the tech team. You will be responsible for identifying where AI agents can augment human workflows to maintain a lean, elite workforce.
• Process Evolution: Create and maintain the SDLC process, reducing friction in the "model-to-production" pipeline.
• Strategic Collaboration: As part of the senior management team, you will work with the C-Suite and Board to align technology delivery with the company’s short to medium-term commercial goals.

About You

The ideal candidate is a hybrid: part scientist, part delivery expert, and part "AI-first" strategist.

• Data Science Pedigree: You didn't start in traditional software engineering. You came up through data science, modelling, or scientific computing. You understand the unique challenges of productionizing models.
• Product-Led Experience: You have a proven track record of building and delivering data-driven software products, not just internal tools or research papers.
• The "Scale" Perspective: You have lived through the "100+ person tech org" phase. You know exactly what breaks at that size, and you are motivated to find a more efficient, AI-augmented way to grow without the traditional overhead.
• Customer Centricity: You can engage with high-level technical stakeholders on the client side, helping them envision the long-term value of our AI-driven upgrades.
• Comfortable working with experts: you have worked in interdisciplinary teams and know how to help bridge the gaps of knowledge, training and experience and help ensure alignment and coherence in the teams.

• Efficiency over Headcount: You have successfully increased output and hit product milestones by optimising the human-AI workflow, keeping the team lean and agile.
• Model Integrity in Production: Our products consistently meet North Star Metrics because you understand the underlying science as well as the delivery mechanics.
• Building a collaborative and trusting relationship and process with the customer side of our business to ensure we are continuously meeting and exceeding customer satisfaction, as demonstrated through zero customer attrition outcomes.
