Senior Python developer

Our client is a financial services organisation building capital markets data platforms and agentic AI applications. They are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join a collaborative engineering team working on data infrastructure and AI-driven tooling that supports trading, analytics, and operational workflows.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Python development with strong data (Parquet) and AI (Claude Code) experience
• Experience working with large datasets and columnar data formats
• An AI-native mindset, with exposure to agent-based or AI-assisted development
• Solid software engineering fundamentals and experience delivering production systems
• Financial services experience is a strong advantage

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain Python applications and data pipelines for capital markets use cases
• Develop agentic AI applications and integrate AI tooling into existing workflows
• Work with large financial datasets, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability
• Collaborate with stakeholders across technology and the business to deliver solutions
• Contribute to engineering best practices
