Technical Product Manager

Working for an early-stage AI software business, the Technical Product Manager / AI Product Manager / Product Manager will help build and improve an AI product that automates operational workflows for a traditional B2B market.

The business is developing AI-enabled software that helps organisations automate high-volume operational workflows, improve responsiveness, reduce manual administration and deliver a better experience for customers and internal teams. The company is at an early commercial stage, with a strong founding team, live pilot customers, positive market feedback and ambitious plans to scale revenue in 2026.

This is a hands-on product role within a lean, fast-moving AI startup environment. The Technical Product Manager / AI Product Manager / Product Manager will work closely with the Product Lead, engineering, AI, customer success and founders to improve product quality, strengthen customer trust and help shape how the product develops as the company scales.

This is not a traditional roadmap-only Product Manager role. The Technical Product Manager / AI Product Manager / Product Manager will own how product quality is measured and improved, including AI evaluation suites, test scenarios, graders, issue triage, customer feedback loops, product performance tracking and feature delivery.

The role would suit an AI-native, technically grounded product person who enjoys solving messy problems, working closely with engineers and customers, and building product processes from scratch in an early-stage environment.

This role is based in London on a primarily office-based basis, with 4 days a week in the office .

The package on offer is £65,000–£80,000 base salary, plus a meaningful equity component, with the opportunity to join at an early stage and benefit from the company’s future growth.

Candidates must be based in the UK , and have full right to work without sponsorship .

The Technical Product Manager / AI Product Manager / Product Manager will:

• Own the quality bar for the product across key areas, defining what good performance looks like and ensuring this is measured consistently

• Build, maintain and improve AI evaluation suites, test scenarios and graders across areas such as customer communications, maintenance, compliance, email and voice

• Track product performance over time, monitor pass rates, identify regressions and work with engineering to close quality gaps

• Review real customer conversations, calls and product interactions to identify new scenarios, product issues and improvement opportunities

• Run daily product quality and critical-error reviews, triaging flagged conversations and deciding whether issues relate to configuration, data, user behaviour or genuine product bugs

• Work closely with engineering and AI teams to turn evaluation findings, customer feedback and product issues into clear, actionable tickets

• Maintain clear product operations across tools such as Linear, Notion and Slack, ensuring priorities, blockers and live work are visible to the wider team

• Partner with Customer Success to turn customer feedback, call transcripts and support themes into well-framed product problems

• Feed evaluation data, issue trends and customer insight into roadmap and prioritisation discussions

• Own features through the product lifecycle, from problem definition and success criteria through to delivery, validation and iteration

• Write clear product documentation, PRDs, feature requirements and success measures for engineering and internal stakeholders

• Help bring new product modules and workflows to market, including areas such as maintenance, prospects, compliance and arrears

• Communicate product updates, new features and launches clearly to internal teams and customers

• Use AI tools, LLMs and agentic workflows to improve product operations, product thinking and execution speed

• Bring pace, rigour, curiosity and high ownership to a fast-moving early-stage startup environment

Candidates for the Technical Product Manager / AI Product Manager / Product Manager role must have:

• Around 3 to 5 years of experience in a product role, technical product role or closely adjacent role where they owned outcomes and worked closely with engineering

• A strong technical grounding, ideally including previous software development experience or hands-on experience building agentic AI workflows

• Genuine fluency with AI tools, LLMs and modern AI workflows, with evidence of using them regularly to solve real problems

• Strong instincts for product quality, with the rigour to measure performance rather than rely on gut feel

• Experience working closely with engineering teams and the ability to reason clearly about technical trade-offs, feasibility and product behaviour

• Experience in B2B software, SaaS, vertical SaaS, AI software, workflow automation or another complex software environment

• A methodical, root-cause approach to diagnosing product issues and separating bugs from configuration, data or user issues

• Comfort working with dashboards, data, product tooling and operational systems to understand how a product is performing

• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clear tickets, PRDs, success criteria and product documentation

• The ability to translate customer feedback and real product usage into clear, prioritised problems for engineering and product teams

• Experience working closely with customer success, sales, implementation teams or customers directly

• A proactive, self-directed and high-agency approach, with the ability to operate without a finished playbook

• Comfort working in an early-stage startup where priorities can move quickly and processes are still being built

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

• A genuine interest in AI products, product quality, evaluation, automation and how AI systems behave in real customer environments

• A strong academic background, ideally from a leading university or equivalent

Experience with any of the following would be highly beneficial:

• AI evaluations, model testing, prompt evaluation, test scenarios, graders or quality frameworks for AI products

• Product quality, QA ownership, issue triage or production performance monitoring

• Tools such as Linear, Notion, Slack, dashboards or data-querying tools

• Basic SQL, data exploration or hands-on analysis of product performance data

• Early-stage startup environments where processes, systems and product operations were being built from scratch

• Property management, lettings, estate agency, real estate, build-to-rent or PropTech environments

The opportunity:

• This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious Technical Product Manager / AI Product Manager / Product Manager to join an early-stage AI software business building automation technology for a large, traditional and underserved B2B market.

• The role offers the chance to own product quality end to end, work closely with the Product Lead and founders, shape how AI product evaluation is done and have a direct impact on the reliability, trust and performance of the product.

• It would suit someone who is technically strong, AI-native, commercially aware, comfortable with customers and excited by the opportunity to help build a high-growth AI software business from an early stage.
