About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Biometric Standards Transition Consultant to lead and support the migration from ISO/IEC 19794 to ISO/IEC 39794 standards within our eMRTD (electronic Machine Readable Travel Document) systems. This role involves deep technical analysis, client system evaluation, and collaborative design and implementation planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess practical differences between ISO/IEC 19794 and ISO/IEC 39794 standards.
• Analyze biometric input creation, LDS1.8 data structures, and eMRTD integration.
• Identify minimum compliance requirements, including default/null value strategies.
• Evaluate client systems for image capture, biometric encoding, chip encoding, and eMRTD reading.
• Recommend system adaptations and transition strategies.
• Design compliant client system architectures.
• Develop and manage implementation plans.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience with biometric standards and eMRTD systems.
• Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 19794 and ISO/IEC 39794.
• Experience with LDS1.8 data structures and chip encoding.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with project tracking tools (eg, ).
• Ability to collaborate with internal and client teams effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional technical discussions.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in government or border control technology projects.
• Knowledge of biometric image capture and encoding systems.
• RAID log management and agile reporting practices.
