We're looking for a Business Analyst with strong SQL skills who enjoys working directly with customers to understand their reporting requirements and transform data into meaningful business insight.

This is far more than a traditional SQL reporting role. You'll become a trusted advisor to customers, taking time to understand how their organisations operate before designing reporting solutions that help them make better decisions and maximise the value of their software investment.

The Role

Working as part of an experienced Professional Services team, you'll bridge the gap between business users and technology, translating customer requirements into reporting solutions that deliver genuine business value.

You'll spend time understanding customer processes, gathering requirements, analysing data and developing reporting solutions that help customers gain better visibility of their operations.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyse customer reporting requirements
  • Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, interrogate and manipulate data
  • Design meaningful reporting solutions based on business needs
  • Validate and analyse data quality
  • Produce functional documentation and specifications
  • Support software implementation projects
  • Work closely with software developers and project teams
  • Deliver customer workshops and demonstrations where appropriate
  • Recommend improvements to reporting processes and business insight
