Technical Architect – Dubai (Relocation Required) Salary: Up to £140K Full-time Permanent

About the Role

Our client, a leading global consulting and technology firm, is seeking a hands-on Technical Architect to join their Dubai team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys mentoring others, and has a solution-focused mindset.

You’ll take ownership of backend architecture, lead a small team of engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance systems.

This role is perfect for someone with startup or high-growth experience who is comfortable being hands-on while driving strategic architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and operation of backend services and APIs
• Mentor and manage a small team of junior engineers
• Ensure solutions are reliable, secure, and high performing
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and data teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Drive best practices in CI/CD, observability, DevOps, and technical documentation
• Influence overall technical strategy and architectural decisions

Skills & Experience

• Strong backend development experience (.NET, Java, Node.js, or Python)
• Proven experience with API design, relational/NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms
• Hands-on leadership and experience managing junior engineers
• Solution-oriented with a collaborative mindset
• Experience in startup, scale-up, or fast-moving environments is highly desirable
