The Team

The Role

We are seeking a skilled  MS Fabric Data Engineer(s) to join our team, ideally initially on a contract basis, however longer term there is potential to discuss longer term opportunities in the shape of a permanent consultant opportunity. We can move fast and adapt our selection period to our needs - with this in mind, immediate or quick availability  is ideal, alongside permanent rights to work are essential, alongside other factors we'll consider.

Within this role you will be expected to:

  • Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines using Data Factory and Data Flows Gen 2 in Microsoft Fabric.
  •  Ingest data from multiple source systems and data formats into OneLake.
  •  Create and configure Lakehouses and Warehouses, using Data shortcuts where appropriate

A bit about YOU!

As much as we just love working with great, fun people, there are some obvious required Skills and Experience  we are going to be seeking out. For this role we'd be expecting to see:

  • Experience in setting up deployment pipelines, moving Fabric items between environments and workspaces following CI/CD principals
  • An understanding of the Fabric security model, from workspaces down to item level
  • Experience in languages such as SQL and Python(PySaprk) is a must, with DAX as a nice to have
  • Any exposure to Database mirroring in Fabric and similar CDC technologies would be advantageous
  • a "Nice to Have" - Certification in MS Fabric or related technologies.

• Ability to take the lead and drive initiatives independently
