AWS Cloud Engineer (with Cloudera Integration)

The AWS Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and optimize AWS environments to host Cloudera clusters and data services. The role requires strong expertise in AWS architecture, automation, DevOps, and containerized solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and operate cloud-based solutions on AWS for Cloudera and related data services.
• Design and implement AWS architectures (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, Route 53, etc.).
• Build Native Cloud Application Architectures and optimize for performance and cost.
• Configure network connectivity, including VPNs, VPCs, Direct Connect, NACLs, and Security Groups.
• Implement infrastructure automation using CloudFormation, Terraform, and other tools.
• Manage AWS cost optimization and scalability strategies.
• Design and implement Backup and Disaster Recovery frameworks.
• Migrate and transform Legacy Cloudera environments to cloud-based platforms.
• Work with DevOps pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD automation.
• Implement security, logging, and encryption protocols (TLS 1.2, ELK stack).

Required Skills & Experience

• In-depth experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS, RDS, DocumentDB, Glue, Route 53).
• Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker, EKS).
• Experience designing multi-account AWS architectures (VPCs, Organizations, segmentation).
• Proficiency in Scripting for AWS environments (Python, Shell).
• Knowledge of DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipeline automation.
• Familiarity with API development (REST/SOAP/JSON).

Hybrid- 2/3 days onsite in London/week
