Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced AWS Senior Cloud Engineer to support the design, implementation, and deployment of AWS infrastructure for a major enterprise environment. The role will work closely with architects to develop detailed Low-Level Designs (LLDs), implement secure AWS networking, provision infrastructure, and deploy SAP AEM on Amazon EKS.

The successful candidate should have strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, networking, Amazon EKS, security, infrastructure provisioning, and enterprise connectivity patterns.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and technical stakeholders to produce comprehensive Low-Level Design (LLD) documents, including AWS network designs.
• Design and implement AWS networking components, including:
  • VPCs
  • Subnets
  • Route tables
  • Security Groups
  • Network ACLs
  • Transit Gateway (TGW) attachments
• Define secure and scalable network connectivity patterns for enterprise integrations.
• Design AWS infrastructure required to support SAP AEM.
• Provision and configure AWS infrastructure in accordance with approved LLDs.
• Create and configure AWS accounts, VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, and NACLs.
• Design, provision, configure, and manage Amazon EKS clusters for SAP AEM.
• Deploy SAP AEM onto Amazon EKS and ensure the underlying AWS infrastructure is correctly configured.
• Configure AWS Transit Gateway and other network connectivity components in line with the approved architecture.
• Implement secure connectivity between AWS and integration endpoints.
• Conduct network and connectivity testing with integration endpoints.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, security, and connectivity issues.
• Work closely with architects, infrastructure teams, application teams, and other stakeholders throughout implementation.
• Ensure infrastructure follows AWS security, scalability, availability, and enterprise architecture standards.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for implemented AWS infrastructure and network configurations.

Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience as a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer/AWS Infrastructure Engineer.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and networking.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Amazon VPC
  • Subnets
  • Route Tables
  • Security Groups
  • Network ACLs
  • AWS Transit Gateway
  • VPC connectivity
• Strong hands-on experience with Amazon EKS/Kubernetes.
• Experience designing and deploying AWS infrastructure for enterprise applications.
• Experience with SAP AEM or SAP-related workloads on AWS is highly desirable.
• Experience designing secure connectivity between AWS and external/enterprise integration endpoints.
• Ability to produce and interpret detailed Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
• Strong understanding of AWS security and networking best practices.
• Experience with infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong troubleshooting and connectivity testing skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
