Security Operations Engineer

We are partnering with a leading London Market insurer to appoint a Security Operations Engineer into their Information Security team.

This is a high-impact role focused on strengthening security operations, enhancing tooling and processes, and protecting critical systems across both cloud and on-prem environments.

What You’ll Do

• Build, develop, and manage security operations systems
• Maintain and improve security tools, procedures, and documentation
• Respond to and resolve security incidents in a timely manner
• Support cloud and on-prem security controls including firewalls, WAF, IAM, and proxies
• Lead Infrastructure as Code and DevOps security workflows
• Support vulnerability management and internal security frameworks
• Partner with internal teams and third-party security providers
• Promote security awareness and best practices across the business

What We’re Looking For

• Experience across security domains such as endpoint, network, and cloud security
• Strong knowledge of AWS and Azure services
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Solid Linux experience
• Understanding of Privileged Access Management best practices
