The Role:

We're seeking a versatile Technical Solutions Engineer to own both the technical sales and implementation journey for our open finance risk management solution. This unique role combines pre-sales technical consultation with hands-on implementation, providing end-to-end technical ownership of customer success with financial services organizations including banks and fintech partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales Technical Consultation:

  • Lead technical discovery sessions and solution design workshops
  • Create and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations
  • Design solution architectures tailored to client needs
  • Develop proof-of-concept implementations
  • Provide accurate technical scoping and implementation timelines
  • Support RFP/RFI responses with technical content

Implementation and Onboarding:

  • Drive end-to-end technical implementations post-sale
  • Create and manage detailed project plans and timelines
  • Lead technical workshops and training sessions
  • Create technical implementation guides and documentation
  • Lead API integration workflows, testing processes, and deployments
  • Coordinate between internal technical teams and client stakeholders
  • Manage sandbox testing and production deployment phases

Project and Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as primary technical point of contact throughout customer lifecycle
  • Manage technical relationships with partner teams
  • Coordinate between technical teams, business stakeholders, and compliance
  • Provide regular status updates and progress reports
  • Handle technical escalations and problem resolution
  • Monitor project risks and dependencies

Background & Skills

Technical Expertise Requirements:

  • Knowledge of data protection frameworks and security standards relevant to financial services (e.g. ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST)
  • Experience with third-party risk management (TPRM) frameworks or security assessment methodologies
  • Strong understanding of API security, RESTful APIs, and OAuth, including familiarity with cloud-based API deployments
  • Familiarity with open banking standards and regulations (e.g. UK Open Banking, FDX, CFPB 1033)
  • Understanding of financial data structures, banking systems, or payment flows

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • 8+ years combined experience in technical sales, implementation, or technical risk consulting
  • 5+ years experience in financial services, fintech, or cybersecurity — with exposure to banking, open banking, or third-party risk management
  • Background in solution architecture or security assessment frameworks
  • Experience with API platforms, integration technologies, or security tooling — with hands-on development or integration experience
  • Demonstrated success managing complex technical implementations or risk assessment engagements
  • Familiarity with financial services compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales methodologies
