The SAP Finance Solution Architect is responsible for defining, governing and assuring the end‐to‐end SAP Finance solution design across a complex enterprise landscapes, As part of client undertaking multiple new SAP and Business projects, enhancements and change requests, which underpin a large complex central government body.

As a key part of the functional architecture for Finance processes and SAP modules focused around SAP Tax and Revenue Management, FI-CA, PSCD, BRIM and core FICO, your role will be ensuring alignment between business strategy, regulatory requirements, SAP capabilities, and integration standards and the ability to lead and translate complex business requirements into robust functional designs, ensuring high‐quality implementation across the full delivery lifecycle.

This role acts as the Finance design authority, bridging business stakeholders, programme leadership, and technical architecture teams, Role will run into 2028/29 + .

Key Accountabilities:

• Define and maintain the Finance domain target architecture.
• Own architectural decisions across SAP FI, CO, FI‐CA, and BRIM Finance components
• Ensure solutions are scalable, compliant, audit‐ready, and future‐proof.
• Maintain alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
• Finance Process Architecture
• Architect end‐to‐end Finance processes, including:
• Record‐to‐Report (R2R), Contract accounting FI-CA.
• Regulatory and audit requirements
• Collections and Revenue Management processes
• High‐volume transaction models financial Accounting (FI‐GL, AP, AR, AA, Banking)
• FI‐CA (subledger and mass transaction processing)
• SAP BRIM Finance integration (CI → FI‐CA → FI‐GL)

Governance & Assurance:

• Establish Finance architecture principles, standards, and guardrails.
• Chair or contribute to Design Review Boards
• Manage architectural risks, dependencies, and design decisions.
• Ensure consistent design across programmes and releases.

Essential

• Senior experience across SAP Finance architecture – 15 Years + Lead and Solution level experience, leading complex SAP environment programmes.
• Deep functional expertise in SAP FI and CO
• ECC into S4/HANA and Business impact.
• Strong experience with FI‐CA in high‐volume environments
• Solid understanding of SAP BRIM financial integration
• Experience on large‐scale SAP transformations
• Strategic thinker with strong solution ownership
• Excellent communication at executive level
• Ability to challenge and influence constructively.
• Strong decision‐making and risk management capability.

Role will require some on-site capacity due to seniority of role, for key project milestones and periods.

We can only accept applications from UK based nationals and Passport holders due to a level of UK security clearance being required- Non UK National and residents cannot be considered.

Contract will require Consultants to be inside IR35 and only Invenio Payroll for the duration .
