Group Financial Controller
Group Financial Controller | PE-Backed SaaS | London | Hybrid
Salary: £100k – £120k + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
We are partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed SaaS business who are looking for a Group Financial Controller to take ownership of group reporting, financial control, and consolidation across an international, multi-entity business. This is a pivotal role within a scaling organisation undergoing rapid growth through both organic expansion and acquisition.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the CEO (initially), you will be the most senior finance leader in the business and take full responsibility for group financial reporting, control, and planning processes. You will play a key role in strengthening the finance function, improving reporting quality, and ensuring robust financial governance across multiple international entities.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with senior stakeholders and investors, helping to shape the financial infrastructure required to support the next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead group consolidation and monthly financial reporting across multiple entities
- Produce high-quality board and investor reporting packs
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting cycles
- Review and challenge entity-level financial submissions
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data across the group
- Drive improvements in financial controls, reporting processes, and systems
- Partner with the CEO to provide clear financial insight and decision support
- Support integration of acquired businesses across the group
Essential Background:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / equivalent) with 6+ years’ experience
- Strong background in group reporting, financial control, or FP&A
- Big 4 training preferred, followed by relevant industry experience
- Experience within PE-backed, SaaS, technology, or multi-entity environments
- Strong systems experience (ERP and consolidation tools)
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage senior stakeholders
