Worcester (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home)
We are currently partnering with a well-established, purpose-driven organisation to recruit for a Technology Delivery Manager. This is a key leadership role within a Service Management team, responsible for driving the successful delivery of operational technology change across a complex and evolving environment.
You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of initiatives focused on modernising technology operations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivering measurable business outcomes. Working across multi-disciplinary teams, you will play a critical role in improving reliability, efficiency, and overall service performance while embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver a portfolio of operational technology projects and services, ensuring improvements in reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Own end-to-end accountability for business-critical initiatives, managing resources, budgets, and delivery outcomes.
- Develop and implement operational plans to enhance technology services and resolve business challenges.
- Manage and influence cross-functional, matrix teams to deliver change at pace while maintaining high delivery standards.
- Define and shape the roadmap for technology operations, ensuring operational readiness and sustainable support models.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with relevant standards (e.g. ITIL, ISO).
- Drive a culture of operational excellence, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
- Provide reporting, insights, and recommendations to support effective decision-making and delivery assurance.
- Contribute to wider organisational programmes aligned to strategic objectives.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong experience delivering medium to large-scale technology or IT projects.
- Proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders and teams, including indirect reports.
- Experience using project planning and delivery tools to effectively manage timelines and outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear reporting, track progress, and recommend corrective actions.
- Solid understanding of governance and compliance frameworks such as ITIL and ISO standards.
- Experience aligning technology solutions with broader business strategies and user needs.
- Degree, management qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner or similar project management certification.
Salary:
£54,870 – £57,774 per year (inclusive of policy allowance, dependent on experience).
