Infrastructure Engineer | L1-L2 | Permanent

UK (Fully Remote with Occasional Site Visits – Expenses Paid)

£32,500 – £37,500 per year

We’re hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing IT function, supporting a mixed estate of cloud, on-prem, and end-user environments for a large UK based Construction company

This is a hands-on L1/L2 role with real variety - ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, improving systems, and getting involved in ongoing cloud and network transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1st & 2nd line IT support for infrastructure and end-user systems
• Administer Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint)
• Manage endpoints and devices (Windows 11, mobile, Intune)
• Support network upgrades (Zyxel → Ubiquiti UniFi)
• Assist with Azure/cloud migration projects
• Maintain Windows Server (2016/2019) environments
• Support SaaS platforms (e.g. NetSuite, HubSpot)
• Use remote support/deployment tools (e.g. PDQ)
• Assist with PowerShell scripting/automation
• Occasional onsite visits for installs and networking

Required Skills & Experience

• 1st/2nd line IT support experience
• Strong Microsoft 365 knowledge
• Windows desktop and server support experience
• Basic Azure/cloud exposure
• Understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
• Experience with endpoint management (e.g. Intune)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

• MSP / fast-paced IT environment experience (IT Managed Services)
• PowerShell or scripting knowledge
• Experience with Ubiquiti / Unifi
