Senior Finance Analyst

Location: Watford (3 days per week in office)Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + up to 15% bonus + excellent benefits Contract Type: Permanent

We are exclusively representing a unique and complex technology business based in Watford who are seeking an exceptional Senior Finance Analyst to join their high-performing finance team. This is a genuinely rare opportunity that breaks the traditional mould of large corporate finance roles.

Unlike typical divisional finance positions in large organisations, this role offers breadth over depth - providing exposure across the entire finance function rather than being confined to a single business unit. You'll gain comprehensive commercial insight into the full organisation, work directly with the CFO, and contribute to strategic investment appraisals that shape the future of the business.

FP&A (50%):

• Financial planning and analysis across multiple business areas
• Budget preparation and forecasting
• Investment appraisal and business case development
• Strategic financial modelling
• Direct exposure to CFO and senior leadership team

Finance Business Partnering (50%):

• Acting as a trusted advisor to commercial stakeholders
• Translating complex financial data into actionable business insights
• Supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation
• Commercial partnering across the breadth of the finance department

What You Won't Be Doing:

• No month-end responsibilities, allowing you to focus purely on value-added analysis and business partnering

Essential:

• Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong commercial finance experience from either:
  • Large, complex corporate organisations, OR
  • Big 4 practice looking to make your first move into industry
• Elite data manipulation and analytical skills (advanced Excel, ideally Power BI/Tableau)
• Natural business partnering and communication abilities - you can influence and build relationships at all levels
• Intellectual curiosity and commercial acumen

Desirable:

• Experience in technology or similarly complex, fast-paced environments
• Financial modelling expertise
• Exposure to investment appraisal processes
