Business and Technology Analyst

We are looking for a Business & Technology Analyst to join our Finance, Technology & Innovation team.

About the role

As our Business & Technology Analyst you will develop and manage requirements and projects in a data driven manner that will enable and inspire more organisations to invest in their people.

You’ll be supporting with our Microsoft Power Platform system, project support and requirements for our bespoke Portal system. This role will require initiative, an eye for detail and a passion for results. We are looking for a professional who can combine analytical skills with strong relationship management.

This is a role with focus on the core system (Power Platform) and business analysis (with strong tie-ins to agile SCRUM and the formulation of user stories in Azure DevOps). Opportunities for supporting agile project management and data activities are available depending on skillset.

We are looking for someone with 3-5 years of experience, motivated and curious, who is eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to our data-driven culture to help us realise our ambitions!

What you’ll be doing

Working as part of a small team and reporting into our Senior CRM and Systems manager you’ll:

Gather requirements and write user stories by engaging with business and other stakeholders.

  • Facilitate workshops and process mapping sessions with business stakeholders to capture requirements.
  • Translate these requirements into clear, structured user stories in Azure Devops and acceptance criteria to guide configuration and development activities.
  • Analyse existing processes, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and propose technological solutions aligned with business objectives.

Support on systems improvements projects depending on your strengths. Primarily this will be with business stakeholder management, data & systems testing.

  • Assist with project management tasks such as timelines, risk and action management, vendor co-ordination.
  • Complete data validation and user acceptance testing to ensure changes meet requirements.
  • Learn how to make and maintain PowerBI reports (scope depending on skillset)

Learn about and deliver customisations for our CRM (Power Platform) system.

  • Apply and build on expertise in model driven apps including Dataverse, business rules, forms, views
  • Apply and build on expertise in Power Automate flows (scope depending on skillset)
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure customisations follow best practice and are well documented.
  • Investigate how AI tools, such as Copilot can be incorporated to streamline processes, improve decision making or automate routine activities.

Over time, become a technology champion, including delivering training and first line support, helping with user adoption and value from our systems.

  • Act as a trusted subject matter expert for day-to-day Power Platform questions and issues, providing timely support to end users on our Zendesk system.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, demos, and documentation to promote use of Power Platform features.
  • Champion best practice usage, drive user adoption and help the organisation maximise value from the platform through continuous feedback loops.

Skills & Experience

Experience with agile methodologies (the ability to write high quality user stories, support backlog, refinement/prioritisation and sprint planning).

The details

Salary: £40-45K (dependent on experience & qualifications)

Work: 37 Hour week, 25 day’s leave (increasing by 1 day annually to a maximum of 30 days), plus additional leave between Dec 25 & Jan 1st.

Location: Remote initially, with options to work hybrid
