Salary: Up to £65,000 + Benefits
Location: Central London - 3 days per week onsite

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

An established global organisation is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join its UK & European IT team, supporting a multi-site environment of approximately 900 UK users across more than 30 offices.

This IT Infrastructure Engineer position is a hands-on infrastructure role combining 3rd Line Support, BAU infrastructure management and project delivery. The IT Infrastructure Engineer will work across Microsoft technologies, networking, virtualisation, storage and security while having the opportunity to recommend and implement improvements across the environment.

Responsibilities for the IT Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Deliver infrastructure projects including firewall migrations, domain controller upgrades, office moves and AV deployments
  • Manage Windows Server, VMware vSphere/ESXi and NetApp storage
  • Support networking and security across firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, Wi-Fi, DNS and DHCP
  • Administer and support Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Intune and Autopilot
  • Administer Mimecast and support email security, mail flow and DLP
  • Use PowerShell to automate infrastructure administration and configuration
  • Provide 3rd Line Support, resolving escalations and complex infrastructure issues
  • Identify and implement improvements across infrastructure, security and operational processes

Essential Skills for the IT Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Strong hands-on IT Infrastructure / 3rd Line experience
  • Active Directory, Entra ID and Microsoft 365
  • Intune, including policy, compliance and device management
  • Exchange Online and strong understanding of email security and mail flow
  • Windows Server administration including Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
  • Networking experience across firewalls, VPNs, VLANs and Wi-Fi
  • PowerShell scripting or automation experience
  • Manage NetApp storage
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to take ownership of technical issues and projects

Desirable Skills for the IT Infrastructure Engineer:

  • NetApp SAN/NAS, Mimecast, SonicWall, Cisco Meraki or FortiGate, SharePoint Online and Teams administration, AvePoint Cloud Backup, SPF, DKIM and DMARC, Microsoft Teams Rooms / AV technologies
  • Microsoft certifications
  • Degree-level education
