About the role…
Lead the Projects Operational team within the Private Networks business, with full accountability for Health & Safety, project delivery, customer satisfaction, and the Projects business P&L.
Act as a key member of the Private Networks Senior Leadership Team, building strong relationships with peers and driving operational excellence and positive change across the business.
Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure access to the right skills and resources, maximising utilisation across all business lines.
Partner with the Sales Leaders to support key account planning, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality projects.
Project Operations Manager you will be....
Lead, motivate, and develop the Projects team to ensure high engagement, strong performance, and talent retention.
Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Act as a visible ambassador for Ipsum’s values, behaviours, and leadership standards
Drive growth and profitability of the Projects business by converting orders into delivered revenue and meeting financial targets.
Manage the full Projects P&L, ensuring strong working capital performance and cash collection.
Maximise resource utilisation through effective planning and workforce management.
Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the full delivery cycle.
Build strong relationships with key accounts and ensure seamless communication across all touchpoints.
Support Sales Leaders with account development plans and future opportunity identification.
Champion a strong Health & Safety culture across the Projects team.
Ensure compliance with all Ipsum processes, safe systems of work, and industry standards.
Embed continuous improvement, lessons learned, and best practice across project delivery.
About you…
Relevant Engineering Qualification (ONC/HNC or equivalent)
Recognised Safety qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent)
Proven leadership experience in a Projects Operations or Business Leader role.
Strong understanding of Health & Safety culture, compliance, and safe systems of work.
Experience in financial forecasting, reporting, and managing a P&L.
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and develop multi disciplinary teams.
Experience working in a fast paced, customer facing environment.
