Senior Pensions Administration Systems Analyst - Scheme Transitions & Data
This role involves onboarding new pension schemes, transitioning schemes leaving Isio, and supporting buy-ins and buyouts. It combines technical data skills, UK pensions knowledge, and configuration of our IntelliPen and oPen administration systems.
You will work closely with stakeholders to understand benefit structures, interpret data, code transformations, and ensure a smooth and accurate transition of member data and services. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and translating complex pension requirements into code and system configurations.
The ideal candidate will be based in our Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Croydon, Manchester or Reading city centre office with a hybrid workstyle. Edinburgh, Glasgow and Leeds offices may be considered for the right candidate.
What does the role entail?
- Migration of member data for new scheme implementations, scheme exits, buy-ins, and buyouts.
- Analysis, cleansing, and transformation of data using SQL/SSMS and other tools.
- Interpretation of benefit specifications into system configuration requirements.
- Set up of reports, letters, member website, payroll, pension increases
- Working closely with stakeholders to agree requirements, resolve data queries, and provide updates.
- Knowledge transfer to administration and system teams.
- Contribution to continuous improvement of transition processes, templates, and tools.
- Documentation, testing, and peer review.
What we're looking for
Essential
- Strong SQL/SSMS skills, including scripting, data manipulation, and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of DB pension schemes (Trust based), including benefits, data items, and calculation concepts.
- Experience working with pensions administration systems and/or payroll systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage workload, and maintain structured documentation.
- Clear communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable
- Experience with data mapping, migration, or transformation.
- Ability to interpret benefit specifications and translate them into system rules.
- Familiarity with relational databases.
- Experience with DC schemes.
- Experience with buy-in/buyout data requirements.
- Exposure to pensions projects such as GMP Equalisation or Pensions Dashboard.
