Cyber Security Analyst
Cyber Security Analyst
Clacton-on-Sea
£35,000 - £40,000 per annum + excellent benefits
You already have a solid grounding in cyber security, perhaps it’s part of your wider IT role, and you’re ready to make it your core focus.
This role suits someone who has been actively involved in security monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability management, or incident response, and now wants to deepen their expertise in a dedicated cyber security position.
The role:
You’ll play a key role in protecting the organisation’s digital estate by monitoring for threats, analysing vulnerabilities, and helping ensure systems remain secure, resilient and well controlled.
Working closely with an experienced Cyber Security Engineer, you’ll take increasing ownership of security monitoring and tooling while learning from their years of hands-on experience. You’ll also contribute to security focused projects such as VPN replacement, infrastructure improvements, and systems unification across multiple offices.
What we’re looking for:
You may come from an IT background where cyber security has formed a significant part of your role, or you may have completed a Cyber Security degree alongside relevant commercial experience.
What matters most is that you can demonstrate real, practical exposure to cyber security, including:
- Security monitoring and alert investigation
- Threat detection and vulnerability assessment
- Experience with tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection
- A good understanding of common attack vectors and security best practices
A degree in Cyber Security is welcome but not essential — if you do hold one, it must be supported by hands-on experience in a live environment.
The company:
This is a stable, well-established, world-renowned electronics specialist. Growth is careful and sustainable, and the culture is collaborative and people-focused.
IT staff stay long-term because they’re supported with training, clear progression, and the opportunity to build a genuine career rather than just hold a role.
Location:
This is a full-time, office-based role on the outskirts of Clacton-on-Sea. Due to limited public transport, a driving licence is required.
Benefits:
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
Life insurance
Occupational health services
Therapy, nutrition advice, and health checks
Online GP and mental health support
Discounted BUPA
Free spa and gym membership
Paid training and career development
Opportunities to travel
Regular staff events
