London South Bank University Group (LSBU Group) has a new position for an ambitious and visionary Director of Digital Transformation to lead the development and delivery of a unified, future-focused Technology Strategy across the Group.
This is a senior leadership role with real scope and influence across the University Group, including digital services for the Colleges and Academies. Reporting directly to the Group Director of IT and Digital Transformation the role leads a multidisciplinary team of circa 18 specialists across project delivery, digital development, business analysis, Salesforce, and Change.
The opportunity
The Director of Digital Transformation will play a pivotal role in enabling LSBU Group's strategic ambitions through technology. You will lead enterprise-wide digital change, modernise platforms and services, and ensure technology delivers meaningful improvements to student and staff experience.
Key areas of impact include:
- Defining and curating the LSBU Group Technology Strategy
- Leading large-scale digital transformation and productivity programmes across complex environments
- Driving innovation through cloud, automation, AI, data platforms, Salesforce and M365
- Partnering with senior leaders to improve customer experience and operational efficiency
- Embedding strong, flexible project governance and a culture of continuous improvement
- Identifying and assessing emerging technologies and their business value
- Working closely with IT Services and Cyber Security to ensure resilient, secure delivery
- Deputising for the Group Director of IT and Digital Transformation when require
About you
You will be a strategic, collaborative digital leader with the ability to operate at pace and influence at the most senior levels.
You will bring:
- Extensive experience leading digital transformation and complex change programmes at scale
- A strong track record of delivering institution-wide productivity and modernisation initiatives
- Broad, current knowledge of technology, data and enterprise architecture
- The ability to engage, challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels
