About the Role

We are looking for a Performance & Data Officer to join a growing Data & Insights team.

You will play a key role in producing corporate performance reporting, analysing data and providing insight to help teams make better, data-led decisions.

This is a hands-on role where you will work with Excel, Power BI, SQL and a range of datasets to monitor performance, identify trends and present clear insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You will also help ensure that performance information is accurate, consistent and properly governed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the regular reporting and monitoring of organisational performance.
  • Develop, maintain and present accurate and timely performance and management information.
  • Design and develop clear performance reports and dashboards using Power BI and other Business Intelligence tools.
  • Analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide actionable insight to managers and senior stakeholders.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure reporting is accurate and consistent.
  • Review KPI definitions and counting rules to ensure performance measures accurately reflect business processes.
  • Support data quality and governance activities, ensuring performance information is reliable and fit for purpose.
  • Produce benchmarking information for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate performance information clearly to help promote a data-led culture.
  • Work collaboratively with teams across the organisation on a range of data and performance initiatives.

About You

You will have experience working in a data analysis, performance, Business Intelligence or management information environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Strong experience in data analysis and/or performance reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Good knowledge of databases and SQL.
  • Experience using Power BI to produce reports and dashboards.
  • Experience working with integrated or multi-source datasets.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • An understanding of performance measures and quantitative/qualitative data analysis.
  • The ability to identify trends and turn data into meaningful insight.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working across multiple teams and initiatives.
  • A strong understanding of data quality and governance principles.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working in a regulated environment or social housing.
  • Experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience using SQL or Spark to extract data.
  • Knowledge of SSRS.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles.
  • Understanding of housing sector regulation.
