Python Developer - FTC

Client is seeking self-motivated Python developers with proven capability of creating micro services for processing complex scientific and engineering data in a secure and performant manner.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Python developer to join a rapidly expanding business area. Our work often starts with a new prototyping project and evolves towards a project using an Agile approach (Scrum, SAFe and DevSecOps), to solve interesting problems related to Space-based Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR).

Essential:

• Candidates should have strong experience of development and automated testing of Python micro-services using container technologies (Docker).
• Candidates should have recent experience of developing RESTful APIs utilising OpenAPI and JSON.
• Excellent team working and communication skills are essential. The requirements and the problems we will be solving can change at short notice. We need developers who are pragmatic, and delivery focused, who can adapt as situations evolve, who enjoy new experiences and always want to learn new things.
• Candidates must be UK Nationals with SC Clearance and must not hold any unrestricted travel permits e.g. OCI, NICOP
• Willingness to work from Leatherhead office at least 1 day per week

Highly Desirable:

• Experience of GIS technologies

Desirable:

• Experience in NiFi or similar workflow automation technology
• Experience of Temporal or similar orchestration technology
• Candidates should have experience of developing with PostgreSQL.
