Payroll Systems Tester

Title: Payroll Systems Tester - 9M FTC
Location: Rushden - Hybrid
Salary: £35,000

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll System Tester on a 9 month FTC, to support payroll system enhancements, upgrades, and implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for payroll system changes, upgrades, and implementations.

• Develop and execute detailed test plans, scripts, and scenarios.

• Validate payroll calculations including PAYE, NI, pensions, and statutory payments.

• Identify, log, and track system defects through to resolution.

• Liaise with payroll, HR, IT, and external vendors to ensure accurate system functionality.

• Support parallel runs and reconciliations during system changes.

• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and internal controls.

• Provide clear documentation and reporting on testing outcomes.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in UAT testing within a payroll environment.

• Strong working knowledge of Oracle payroll systems.

• End-to-end payroll processing knowledge.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple testing cycles and deadlines.

• Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience.
