Our client, a successful, UK document management consulting organisation, has identified a need for a Site Operations Manager for their high-speed scanning site in the West Midlands. They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven leader with a passion for fostering a positive team culture.

The successful candidate will hold full P&L responsibilities, empowering you to drive operational success and deliver outstanding customer satisfaction. They are seeking a leader who can inspire and lead teams to new heights, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency across the site.

As the Site Operations Manager you will report directly to the Head of Digital Mailroom, and your role will be pivotal in fostering a strong Health and Safety culture across all the site, collaborating with the HSE Advisor for continuous improvement. You'll also ensure compliance with information security standards like ISO 27001 and GDPR, while overseeing the site's P&L responsibility, managing the operational team for consistent delivery, SHEQ standards, and efficiency optimisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the financial performance of the site, ensuring contracts and projects are delivered in line with quality and financial targets.
  • Lead and manage the team fostering a culture of engagement, accountability and driving excellence throughout the organisation
  • Establish and promote an effective Health and Safety culture across the site.
  • Collaborate with the HSE Advisor to continuously enhance safety practices and compliance
  • Measure and elevate customer service and satisfaction levels, consistently exceeding expectations
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by working closely with teams across the organisation
  • Maximise asset utilisation and identify opportunities for capital investment projects
  • Effectively plan and manage service capacity to support contractual and new business demands
  • Ensure effective project management of key multi-site and complex customer contracts
  • Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures, including Information Security, Environmental, Health and Safety, and Quality Management Systems. Ensure your operational management team is fully aware and compliant
  • Understand and ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and GDPR requirements, demonstrating a commitment to information security

ABOUT YOU

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, providing a clear vision and direction in the capacity of Operations Manager of a sizeable facility.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Experience of identifying opportunities for and implementing continuous improvement
  • Decisive, with a track record of making sound and timely decisions
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills, building effective relationships across the organisation
  • Proficiency in change management principles
  • A passion for driving positive change and initiating improvements
  • Approachable and confident, with integrity and personal accountability
  • Financial awareness, including budgeting, P&L management, cost control, and recognising commercial opportunities
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and deliver timely results
